Week 2

In the Under 12 division of the South Liverpool Junior League Kingsthorne retained their 100% record after edging a 3-2 victory over Litherland Remyca Devils. Reece Loupe once again was on target, netting twice with Ben Collins also scoring. Matty Bulinski is a contender for player of the week having scored all four goals in Springwoods 4-0 win over Woolton Corinthians.

In the Under 13 division Runcorn Linnets and Marshalls played out a thriller which ended 3-3. Jorge Dwyer (2) and Leon Duckers scored for Linnets with Xenon Bahula, Michael Orme and Adam Pickering netting for Marshalls. Woolton Power had a convincing 7-1 win over FC Start. Joe Ponzini, Simon Whitehead and Patrick Craig converted before the break before FC Start pulled one back early in the second half. A William Lawrence tap in steadied the nerves before the prolific scorer netted a second. Joe Ponzini grabbed his second before a break late on saw a conversion. Elsewhere Kingsley Utd beat Marshalls Barkhill 4-2.

In the Under 14 division Marshalls Rosemont are top after Kieran Flemming scored a hat trick for the second week running as they beat Mossley Hill 4-0. Fraser Spencer also scored for Rosemont. Matthiola (two from Josh Deans and one each from Lewis Carter and Max Weston) drew 4-4 with Prescot Rangers.

In the Under 15 division three teams still have their 100% records intact. Free scoring Matthiola beat Marshalls 6-0 thanks to a Luke Sutton hat trick (now nine for the season) and goals from Matthew Eastup, Issac Sharples and Jordan Lockett. Gateacre (Jack Cooper, Jacob Cover, Joe Cunningham, Rio Duhaney and Cole Fowlis) beat Bleak Hill Rovers 6-2 and Woolton Vikings (two from Daniel Fisher and one each from Harry Keeley, Chela Pod and Tristan Walker) beat Chelwood Spartans (Andy Delaney and Lucas Halewood) 5-2. Chelwood Tarways won their local derby against Chelwood Rangers 6-3 thanks to braces from Tammie Fyneman-Kalio and Joe Leyland and strikes from Joe O’Grady and Keighan.

In the Under 16 division Geneva drew 2-2 with Whiston Juniors. Liam Bott netted both Geneva goals and Jordan Davis and Harry Nulty were on target for Whiston. Dylan Fox-Ford and Alex Haake netted goals for Rosemont Athletic as they beat Kingsthorne Jaguars.
