Allexton & New Parks continue to lead the Everards Brewery Premier Division after a comfortable 4-0 win at home to Hathern. The scores remained deadlocked until the 35th minute, but Hathern then paid the price for dozing off, as ANP scored three times in five minutes to end the game as a contest, before adding a fourth to give the scoreline an extra flourish later on. Ryan Charles (2), Zak Adams and Lewis Hurst the ANP scorers.

Desford & Caterpillar took over in second place after beating Barrow Town 5-1 at the Riverside, Ross McGarry scoring twice, with Mac Parnell, Yaro Phillips and Jamie York also scoring, Dean Hopewell finding a second half consolation for Barrow, Desford & Caterpillar four points behind ANP, having also played a game more than the New Parks team. Ellistown slipped down to third after scraping a point in a 0-0 draw at Burbage & Huncote, the NW Leics side a point behind Desford having played a game more than the Caterpillar-based team. Aylestone Park Reserves round off the top four after having taken Thurnby Rangers to the cleaners on their own patch, going 6-0 up at half-time, eventually winning 8-1. Aaron Preston scored a hat-trick, Lewis Turland a brace, Josh McKinley-Hutchinson and Cory Pinchbeck, along with sub Thabo Makombe, Iwu Finbarr Onyema with a consolation for Thurnby.

At the bottom of the table, Ashby Ivanhoe Knights took on FC Khalsa in the battle of the bottom two at Judgemeadow College and came out on top 4-1, with Trey Wilks scoring twice, along with Harry McGowan and Ash Riddell. Knights stay bottom, two points behind Khalsa and three points behind Barrow, Knights also having a game in hand on both of them. Thurnby sit just a point in front of Barrow, so the relegation battle is now widening into a four-way tussle. Magna 73 sit on the edges of it, drawing 2-2 at home to Cottesmore, Arjuna Govia and Ben White for Magna, Tom Caldicott and Brenden Parker for Cotts.

Elsewhere in the Premier, Sileby Town climbed into fifth, up one spot, after winning 4-1 at home to Friar Lane & Epworth, Szymon Donnerstag (2), Conner Packwood and Leon Watson for Sileby, Ryan Rowley for Lane, whilst Highfield Rangers and AFC North Kilworth traded places in mid-table, Rangers going into the top half of the table at NK's expense, after a 4-1 win for Rangers at North Kilworth, Yankuba Camara bagging a brace, joined on the scoresheet by Elie Oliver and Shawn Richards, Taylor Sharpe for NK.

There's two games in midweek in the Premier, and we'll bring you those, along with Saturday's games, in next week's Ramble.
