Loughborough Students Development celebrated their 3rd Everards Brewery Senior Football League trophy of the season when they added the City Goldsmith President Cup to their collection on Tuesday night at Nanpanton Road.
For the 2nd week running Hinckley Leicester Road Reserves faced up to Loughborough Students Development in a final, the previous one, the Chairman's Trophy at Barrow Town, the Students ran out 4-2 victorious.
Sam Williams finally broke the deadlock after 20 minutes and 2 further goals, from Idir Kermoud and Aled Willan quickly followed to make it 3-0 after 25 minutes. Leicester Road were down but not out and managed to get to half time without further loss. A chink appeared in the Students armour when Brogan Greenwood converted a 75th minute penalty and substitute Harry Smith made it 3-2 which made for an interesting and tense last 5 minutes.
In addition to the Presidents cup, on the night the Students were also presented with the Everards Division 2 Trophy, which they won in their 1st season without losing a game.
